Meet our staff

Greg & Dawn Shaw-Owners

Greg has 30 plus years of experience in the building industry.  Greg first founded Shaw Builders, Inc. in 1986, the company that provides carpenter labor to and is a sister company of Shaw Building & Design, Inc.  With their experienced carpenters, these companies are able to work together to make your building dreams come true.

Greg oversees the office and all the construction projects.  He also does all sales, site visits, trade shows and construction seminars.  You can make your first contact here at greg@shawbuilders.com.

Dawn is in charge of all of our marketing.  She also helps with business in and out of the office, trade shows and can assist homeowners with questions and selections as needed.

Greg and Dawn have lived in the Stoughton community for 30 years and have raised all 3 of their children there.

Dawn and Greg belong to the Madison Area Builders Association, Metropolitan Builders Association of Greater Milwaukee, NARI of Madison, Stoughton Chamber of Commerce as well as the builders associations at the national level.  They both also participate in local civic groups.

Matthew Shaw-Estimator & Project Facilitator
Matt has been working here since 2001.  He is in charge of cost estimating and the carpenter work crews.

Chris Neumann-Home Designer
Chris has designed countless number of homes since he started working for Shaw Building & Design, Inc.  in 1997. He has designed a large variety of custom homes, including post and beam, timber frame, prairie-style, log and even tilt-up concrete homes.
"I enjoy meeting with people.  It's fun to see their excitement, as they talk about their dreams and ideas.  Each client has very different desires and needs in their home.  I strive 100% every time to give each and every one a very unique design, they can call their own."
Chris works very well with his clients to achieve fine architecture, great spaces and very efficient homes.

He lives in Stoughton WI with his wife Agnieszka and their two sons. Jan Michael and Tomas Christopher.

Jace Jontz-Project Superintendent
Jace has been with Shaw Building & Design, Inc. since 2004.  He overseas your home project once the construction process begins.  He directs all of the tradespeople and carpenters, and is the homeowner’s primary contact regarding the on-site construction process.
Jace's customers have commented on the pride he takes in building their homes.  He works hard to make it a fun and enjoyable experience.  Jace states: "I like to see the look of excitement on a client's face when that dream starts from paper to when I hand them the keys to their new home.  There is nothing more rewarding." 
He lives in Sun Prairie, WI with his wife Kim, and son Grant.

Beth Bauer- Project Manager
Beth has been with Shaw Building & Design, Inc. since 2003. She has over 20 years of planning and budgeting experience.  She works with the client to keep them on schedule and on budget.  She gives assistance with their selections, scheduling of appointments, helping with issue resolution and monthly draws.  She will be there to help the customer in anyway needed.  Beth enjoys working with the homeowners and seeing the house go from paper to the final product. 
She lives in Stoughton with her husband and two daughters.

 Pam Shaffer-Bookkeeper
Pam has worked for Shaw Building & Design, Inc. since 1997.  Her background is in accounting and administrative work.  Pam pays all the invoices that go into the cost of building your new home.  She also handles the payroll and bookkeeping for Shaw Building & Design, Inc. and Shaw Builders, Inc.
She and her husband have two sons and enjoy spending time together watching and playing sports.

Mike O'Connell-Remodeling Project Superintendent
Mike has been here since 1992.  He is the Remodeling Project Superintendent.  Mike is responsible for working with the homeowners and sub contractors on the overall day-to-day running of remodeling jobs.
