How does Solar work?
Solar panels collect energy that is transferred to the water passing through the panels. The water is then stored in a tank for use in either your domestic hot water or used to help heat your home.
Solar panels can also be used for electricity, this is called a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System. Solar PV systems harness the power of the sun. There are different kinds, you can mount them on a home or on poles, pole mounted ones can tilt and move to collect as much sunlight as possible at every time of the day. The PV system is connected to the electric distribution systems to send electricity to the grid when their PV system produces power.
